岛内媒体对政府工作报告中的涉台部分也十分关注。有台媒注意到，这次的政府工作报告对台政策部分的第一句仍然是“坚持贯彻新时代党解决台湾问题的总体方略”，显示贯彻新时代党解决台湾问题的总体方略的决心。台湾中国文化大学社会科学院院长赵建民分析认为，预计大陆未来会再推出与融合发展有关政策。他坦言，过去大陆通过ECFA等对台经贸让利，让在台湾的企业、民众受益，和推动跨海的两岸经贸文化交流，近年更多的是直接吸引台湾人到大陆去，享受融合发展红利，例如去年发布支持福建建设两岸融合发展示范区的文件。
